I know it has been forever and a day since I last posted. A major picture post is coming soon since I just got back from Michigan. I miss my niece, Alexa... she's adorable. I also went with Keith today to go get our marriage license. We'll be married in front of the judge on June 24th!! I also cut my hair... changes omg~

Well, my mom and brother took Shaye to the vets to put her to sleep. She was getting so bad that it was painful for her to stand up to go to the bathroom... my poor doggy. I'm just happy that she's not suffering anymore...
Anyways, in happier news, my brother jumped the gun and got married on Halloween in front of the judge. So, now I have a bridesmaid's dress that I probably will not wear. :/ Also, his wife will know the sex of the baby on Wednesday. I'm so excited... I want it to be a girl. I'm tired of being surrounded by boys. =P Plus I want to make frilly cute things for the baby.
In school news, this is my last week and I am done forever~! I can't believe I'll be graduating soon. I just finished my portfolio work and am way~ behind on my dresses for collection. I need to stay up all night tomorrow night and Wednesday night to finish. I should be okay though... I hope. XD

So, I missed the first day of class... I'm still recovering from my crappy 100 degree fever. >.< I found out that I need to have my inspiration picked out and start my concept paper by next class (aka Thursday) for my senior collection. I'm thinking about doing a collection inspired by an English Garden (maybe for tea time!?). Here's some ideas I came up with tonight... let me know what you think... I'm sure more will pop up tomorrow~

yeah... still haven't had time to upload those photos I promised. (^^);; I will get those up as soon as this quarter is over (about 2 more weeks).
I have fallen so far behind in my tailoring class that it's not even funny. Basically because the serger made my wool pieces a whole size smaller! (; n ;) So I had to re-cut everything.... plus I need to go buy a little bit more wool for my lining, unless the serged piece will work (haven't checked yet). Yesterday was a pretty exciting day. My class had a field trip to America's Mart in the apparel building. It has been about a year since I went downtown, so the scenery was quite nice. I was going to walk to Centennial Park, but decided against it since traffic was about to get worse. Anywyas, We got to talk to Michelle Harrison who is a very lovely person. Her show room is huge~ offering 40 different collections! Plus, I got a free book featuring Ugo Zaldi's sketches (nice)!! I would love to have an internship with her or even work for her. After talking with her, we were free to shop the mart (only with the stores with the huge signs saying "SAMPLES" because this is basically a whole sale place. =P I found many lovely samples I would have loved to take home (one was a $18,000 ring... yeah, no way I could afford it... but very lovely). I decided not to get anything though since food is my number one priority. Raising prices does not help me at all!
In other non-school related news. I will be moving to a different building in my complex. Why you my ask? Because I can no longer afford where I am at. We are upgrading to a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment and adding a room mate. Hopefully everything will go well with that. =P Mostly because I stay up until 4 am in the morning sewing.
I also found out a few weeks ago that Shaye, my brother's dog that my parents took in after Bailey was born, has bone cancer. (; n ;) She has the worst kind and nothing can really be done for her. The vets assume that she only has a few more months left before she will die. |

sorry it's been a dog's age since I posted. I've been super busy between going to school and working. I finally got Sunday off and today, so I'm catching up on my sleep. I'm also stressing the hell out. Finals is in two weeks. I'm not worried about my Fashion Survey/Seminar class... all I have left in that is to draw a dress inspired by a building. I'm definitely doing the Swan House. <3 The class I'm stressing about is my Studio III class. I have two weeks left and I'm still working on my mock up (thanks to my survey/seminar class and work). Also, I had to order my fabric online since Atlanta has no choices in fabric. (; - ;) Delivery time will be anywhere from 5-10 days.... gah! That would only leave me a week to put my evening gown together. So, it'll be a while until I post pictures up of everything I did this quarter. Can't wait to graduate in December yo! |

Just got back from the concert a little while ago. (We left early; after receiving signatures). The concerts rocked!! D'espairsRay played first and was great. I just wish I was in the pit now... no one was really into it since most of the people there didn't listen to Japanese music. After they played, some side band played a few songs while MUCC was setting up to go on. MUCC was awesome yet again! We definitely need to go to every concert of theirs. The came on stage wearing something that looked like a skirt. We couldn't tell if they actually were skirts or some pants that looked like skirts. Considering how MUCC likes to fool around on stage, I'm thinking they were skirts. Tatsurou's English improved greatly since we last saw them in Baltimore. Keith and I still couldn't help but laugh sometimes... with his Engrish screaming "ROCK THE FUCKING FLOOR!" of course when he said it, it was like "ROKU SHE (like the but with the sh sound) FUCKING FROOR!" I loved Tatsurou's outfit. XD He looked like a pirate at first. Baggy white shirt, baggy vest cardigan thingie, black pants, and of course, an orange skirt. And yeah, they played FUZZ and a new song we are guessing will be on the new album since both of us didn't recognize it and we own everything from them and it was awesome.
Ok, after MUCC played The Underneath played. They are a very interesting band. I must look into them some more. Anyways, Keith came and got me after their first song (he went to the bathroom) because he found out that signings were going on during the concert. So we rushed to go find MUCC's booth. We found it (which was at the main entrance) and was first in line... at the time anyways. Some lady came up and waited with us for a bit. She was extremely nice. Since I forgot my camera, she said she would take pictures for us. After giving her Keith's email, she told us her husband was waiting in line for D'espairsRay signatures. !!!! I didn't miss their signing!! So I grabbed mey D'espairsRay towel and ran as fast as I could to their booth. Their signing started at 7:15 and MUCC's started at 7:45. I got to meet D'espairsRay during the signing session. They are so nice, and that was my first time seeing them in casual clothes. =P I got my D'espairsRay towel signed and received a hug from each. Then I ran all the way back to MUCC's table. Keith was in line and was about the fourth person in line. He got out their FUZZ single for them to sign. I was going to have them sign my MUCC shirt, but they had free posters they were signing and said fuck it, I'll just let them sign that. So Keith got his FUZZ single signed and a signed poster... and got handshakes from them (a big deal since he idolizes Yukke). I got my signatures and hugged everyone! Yay.. hug from Tatsurou!! =P His fur tickled me a bit. They were kind of surprised that I wanted a hug (since I was with Keith). But they happily did it and I received a "Thank you" from Miya. Miya is so cute. Yukke was a little embarrassed. Satochi was shocked a bit or I cut him off guard. And Tatsurou was completely caught of guard. He went straight for a handshake, and I was like... no I'm gonna hug you , I didn't say it but I held out my arms in a hug like manner. I got the longest hug from him... hooray. I idolize him.. he has such a good singing voice. Keith and I said our thank yous in Japanese (his was more polite "arigatou gozaimashita" I just gave the plain "arigatou" with a small bow. Then I waved at them and said "bye bye"... god, I must have looked like an idiot... but both of us were extremely happy (I was ecstatic since I got to meet two of my favorite bands, but whatever, you get the point). It was definitely worth it... and we'll definitely be going to another one of their shows if they perform here in the states again. Pictures later! |

My brother is getting married!! Well... not until 2009 but he proposed to his girlfriend around Christmas (I think he did on x-mas morning but I'm not sure). I'm going to be a bride's maid, and I'm happy they are going to wait until I graduate.
Last week my parents came down to visit with my nephews and joyous times ensued. Pictures & stories coming soon~! I'll also post a picture of my finished dress on one of the school's mannequins. I actually got an A+... even though I did a horrible job on the under layer dress. Mrs. Teague said they were only minor mistakes and let them slip, I already knew my mistakes though. I like, pointed every mistake out practically. I didn't do too shabby though for completing the dresses in two days (one day for each dress). This was also my first time working with a stretch knit. I have plenty of fabric left over, so I may play with the fabric some more.
Hope everyone rang in the New Year with style. =P Me... I was being a nerd helping Keith collect stars on Super Mario Galaxy (our new sensor bar for our Wii came in on Christmas Eve; Nobu chewed through the cord on the first one >_>).
Alright, back to playing games on the PSP... if anyone finds LocoRoco for the PSP (besides on eBay), let me know. (^o~)v |

man, I am terrible when it comes to updates lately... I was going to post pictures of my sketches I did for draping (total of 75), but I think I'm just going to wait and post my final garment, which happens to be a two piece dress (an under tunic / dress and jump dress). Maybe I'll give you guys a sneak peek this week with my muslin mock up. It looks adorable and I can't wait to wear it! I need to buy my fabric yet... I plan on making it out of wool and comfy cotton... but I don't know if my wallet can handle a loss of $100 or more. ;-; |

yeah, I know I said new pictures were coming soon, I've just been extremely busy. ;--; I'll post them whenever I get a good long chance to. The pics include me whoring my work badge (and apparently the mall had a fire on Thursday that started behind our store room.... Foot Locker's and FYE's store room is behind ours and the fire started in Foot Locker. Foot Locker is completely destroyed (duh) and FYE needs to replace their whole carpet. We were saved and only got a little water damage... I have no clue how that happened, but at least I can still work. ^_^) and some fashion sketches since I can't decide which dress I should make for my finals this quarter in draping. =P |

I'm back from MI. I've been back for quite some time now (about 2 weeks), but I've been so busy. Anyways, my time in Michigan was very busy. I didn't get to do the majority of the things I wanted to do. I did, however, get the important things done... loans, renewing license, etc. etc. While I was up there, my parents' house got destroyed by either high winds / tornado. Stupid me forgot the charger for my camera, so after I took pictures of the disaster (which didn't damage the house as bad as we had originally thought), my camera died. I can post those up if you want.
In more recent news, I've started classes... hooray~! Also, I dropped an application off to DSW. I hope I get hired there... I love shoes and this job would bring me great joy~! <3 (I actually spent $45 when I picked up an application)=p I still need to talk to the hiring manager, I missed her by 10 minutes yesterday. First thing after class tomorrow, I'm going to go over there to see if she's in... and then work on my Modaris stuff for CAD II.
This weekend I definitely need to go job hunting... I'm tired of not having any cash. I'll be hitting Cumberland mall for sure! Though I'm not sure if I'll do it this weekend. I'll be stopping at other strip malls as well... heck, I might even hit Lenox & Phipp's down by the school, oh and the one in Kennesaw. Wish me luck folks! |

Yeah, the way things are looking... I may need to take next quarter off. My loan company is still having issues, and I only have a week left to fix everything. I really don't mind a break, but I don't want 4 months off~! I want to get out of school asap. Hopefully my director handled everything for me yesterday. If not, I'll try and get my dad to cosign with me (apparently they have me listed as a sophomore for next quarter, even though I'll be a junior. This is why I'm having all the problems now. I have already reached the amount a sophomore is allowed to have, so I'll just need a cosigner to take out more, which is bull any seeing as how I keep calling the loan company telling them I'll be a junior. The guy keeps telling me they can't change it because someone from the college submitted the certification of the loan saying I will be a sophomore. Retards! I'm a sophomore now, but next week I'll be a junior. *smacks head*
On another note, I'll be leaving for Michigan next week possibly. If not, the following Monday will be the day. Before I leave, I must go to Walmart and print off pictures from my camera that have been on there since my last trip to Michigan last year. I also need to start working out to tone back my body for the beach. I miss my abs. ;--; I plan on being up their for at least two weeks, if I need to take the next quarter off, I may stay a little longer to avoid fourth of July traffic. At least I'll be with my family on my birthday this year. June 29-July 1 I'll be in Sawyer, Michigan camping at Warren Dunes, if you're around, look for me. =p I'll post pictures of the trip when I get back, maybe some commentary. As of now, Keith is staying here with Nobu... so I have a long haul all by my lonesome. ;--; Serves me right for not buying a plane ticket, but at least I will be able to buy more stuff while I'm visiting home.
Alright, Nobu needs to go to the vets in 2 hours. I also need to outline my croquis for my CAD class tonight. I'll call it a day, have a nice one folks. |

It's been two months now since I had applied for my loan and it is still not improved. Why? Because of my fucking financial department dragging their asses.
I had emailed my adviser two weeks ago bitching and she finally sent my request to the processors, but I don't know how good her word actually is seeing as how the company still doesn't have information from the school. : / Worse yet, registration has already started for classes. ;--; So I may get screwed and not be able to get into classes I need, which I'm just going to take the whole quarter off if that happens, even though I don't want to. : /
I tried emailing my adviser three times to see if i was cleared even though my loan is not approved yet, seeing as how she "sent" my request for the loan to the processors who actually takes another loan out for me. I still don't see shit happening and my adviser never emailed me back.
I tried emailing the associate director of financial aid to bitch to her. I thought I was getting somewhere seeing as how she actually replied asking me for my phone number. That reply happened Thursday night. It is now Sunday and I still did not get a phone call from her.
So now I'm not going to be nice anymore. I'm heading straight to my dean. If I can't get anything done through her, I'm going straight to the fucking principal of the school and bitching my head off. It's fucking ridiculous that I have to go through this shit every year! I'm paying so much money to get fucking screwed over.
Sorry for my drama everyone, but I had to get this off my chest.
On a happier note... Keith and I got a new kitten~! Isn't he cute?
At the time of the photo, he was only 4 weeks. He is 6 weeks now going to be 7 weeks on Tuesday.
We're not sure what we are going to name him... >_> I like the name Nobu though, but we still haven't decided. Any suggestions? |
